Terms of Service

BIGLEAGUE is an unofficial information site, built by one individual, that presents Major League Baseball (MLB) schedules, statistics and standings in several languages. It charges no fees and uses no affiliate links; it carries Google AdSense advertising to cover the cost of running the site, such as servers and the domain. Advertising revenue goes to those operating costs. It is not payment for selling the data or video shown here, nor for transferring any right to use them.

BIGLEAGUE is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by MLB, any MLB club, MLB Advanced Media, SPOTV or any related organization. Nothing on this site represents the views of those organizations.

By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

Game records and statistics are requested at display time from the public endpoints of the MLB Stats API operated by MLB Advanced Media. The Service does not download this data in bulk or accumulate it in a database of its own, and keeps nothing beyond the cache needed to render pages. The only things the Service stores separately are the player and team name translations it writes itself, and link information for publicly posted videos.

The Service does not sell or supply this data to third parties, and does not redistribute it in any form, including as an API, widget or data feed.

Club names, club logos, uniform marks and player images are trademarks and property of the respective clubs, MLB, MLB Advanced Media and their respective owners. The Service neither owns them nor claims a licence to them, and displays them only to identify which game or which player is being shown. That display does not indicate sponsorship or approval by any rights holder.

The Service neither stores nor redistributes highlight videos. YouTube clips are shown through the YouTube embedded player from the official channels of their rights holders (MLB, SPOTV and others); playback takes place on YouTube and is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. MLB official clips play from addresses supplied by MLB. In either case the video file is delivered to the viewer directly from the rights holder's own servers.

Advertising is placed automatically by Google AdSense; the operator does not select or approve individual ads. The Service does not supply the data or video above to advertising vendors, and does not sell advertising tied to any particular club, player or video.

Apart from what the Service creates itself — the translation dictionaries, the layout and the code — all rights in the material remain with their respective owners.

The Service merely displays content provided by third parties; it does not control that content and is not responsible for it. Each piece of such content is governed by the terms and privacy policy of its provider.

If you are a rights holder, or an agent of one, and believe material shown on the Service infringes your rights, please write to contact@bigleaguelive.com. Including the following will speed up review.

· The address of the page in question and a description that identifies the material · Information confirming that you are the rights holder or its agent, and your contact details · The action you are requesting (removal from display, corrected attribution, and so on)

On receiving a notice the operator will review it without delay and, where the request appears well founded, will stop displaying or will delete the material. Where review takes time, the operator may stop displaying the material first.

Action taken under this clause is not an admission of infringement, and does not limit any other right or claim of the operator or of the rights holder.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial viewing only. The following are prohibited.

· Collecting data from the Service by automated means such as crawlers, scrapers or bots, and copying, redistributing or reselling that data · Using data obtained from the Service for commercial purposes · Repeated requests that place an excessive load on the servers, circumventing access limits, reverse engineering, and probing for security vulnerabilities · Any other conduct that interferes with the normal operation of the Service

The game data shown by the Service is subject to the usage notice published by MLB Advanced Media (gdx.mlb.com/components/copyright.txt). The prohibitions above exist in part to prevent use that falls outside the scope that notice sets.

Where such conduct is confirmed or suspected, the operator may restrict access without prior notice.

The Service offers a live chat that anyone can join without signing in. You are responsible for what you write, and the operator does not review user content in advance.

The following are prohibited: abuse, hateful or discriminatory expression toward others; disclosure of personal information; advertising, spam or flooding; distribution of unlawful information; impersonation; infringement of copyright or other rights of others; and conduct that interferes with the normal operation of the Service.

You grant the Service permission to use what you write to the extent needed to display and store it. Copyright in your content remains with you.

The operator may delete, without prior notice, any content that breaks or appears to break these rules, and may restrict a particular user's access. The operator is under no obligation to monitor or remove all content. A rate limit applies to chat to prevent spam.

If you would rather not see another participant, you can use the block function in the participant list. Blocking applies only in your own browser.

The Service is provided "as is". Because the data shown depends on external APIs, it may be delayed, missing or incorrect, and the Service does not warrant its accuracy, completeness or timeliness.

The Service may be changed, interrupted or discontinued without prior notice, in which case stored chat data may not be recoverable.

For information on which an important decision depends — game results, records, schedules — always confirm with official MLB channels.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for damage arising from: use of or inability to use the Service; errors or delays in the data shown; content written by other users; content provided by third parties; or loss of stored data. This reflects the fact that the Service is a personal project provided free of charge.

This exclusion does not apply to damage caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.

If you cause damage to the operator or to a third party by breaching these Terms or the law, you bear responsibility for it.

These Terms may be revised, and any changes take effect from the moment they are posted on this page. When a significant change is made, you can confirm it by the last-updated date at the top of the page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes relating to use of the Service are brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

A failure by the operator to exercise a right under these Terms immediately is not a waiver of that right.
